We have lived in Washington DC for ten years now. Every one rushes here in April to see the magnificent cherry blossoms along the Tidal Basin and many other points of interest. But today was an exceptionally beautiful day to take a walk around the Tidal Basin to see the cherry trees in another state of grandeur. The reflection of the Washington Monument on the water looks like the stroke of an artist's brush. I couldn't have done it better myself! Nature has a way of outdoing anything a painting could possibly represent. And it's such a great source of inspiration. I could have stayed out there all morning trying to capture just the right angle or color or scene, but my husband kept pushing me on! He is also a source of inspiration and serves as my best art critic. I don't know what I would do without his honest opinion on my portraits. But there are no improvements that could possibly be made to these surroundings. Simply magnificent!
